The workshop will focus on the emerging global sustainable development framework, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and partnerships.
Mission
- To provide an analytical briefing on the negotiations taking place at the United Nations in New York and around the world on a post-2015 development framework and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will set priority areas for international development cooperation, as well as national and international investment and public-private partnerships after 2015.
- To identify possibilities to participate in the shaping of this framework and goals, and in their implementation in practice once finalized and endorsed by world leaders in 2015.
- To explore entry points for partnerships among companies, civil society organizations and public entities at global, regional, national and local levels in delivering sustainability in practice, drawing lessons from the experience with the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
