"REGULATORY DEVELOPMENTS IN THE ESG/SUSTAINABILITY SPACE AND THEIR IMPACT ON LISTED FIRMS"
ESG regulatory space and EU sustainable finance strategy
Together with all national competent authorities, HCMC participates in the preparation of the new regulatory framework for ESG matters at EU and ESMA level (e.g., Disclosure Regulation, Taxonomy Regulation, Benchmarks and non financial disclosures framework revision) and is endorsing the Strategy proposed by ESMA on this very important topic. Reference will be made to these recent developments as well as to the envisaged new EU sustainable finance strategy.
At the same time, the recent ESG regulatory space is coupled by several challenges to which we will refer briefly. Last, we will present the major EU Market trends /ESG and we will make reference to the various initiatives at national level either form an institutional point of view, or from a public or private perspective with a focus on listed firms/product.
